Built to sell, not just to look good
Every page is a conversion flow. We sweat the hierarchy, the CTAs, the micro-copy, the scroll rhythm — and we pressure-test it against real user behaviour. Beautiful is the baseline; measurable is the goal.
Creative Scope is a Toronto web design company with in-house web designers and developers. 580+ websites launched — fast, editorial, and crafted page-by-page to sell, on custom code, WordPress or Shopify. Code you own on day one, and a year of free hosting.
We're a conversion-engineering shop that happens to make beautiful things. Here's what you actually get.
Every page is a conversion flow. We sweat the hierarchy, the CTAs, the micro-copy, the scroll rhythm — and we pressure-test it against real user behaviour. Beautiful is the baseline; measurable is the goal.
Hand-coded, image-optimised, minimal JavaScript. We ship sites that pass Core Web Vitals on a bad 4G connection — because every extra second costs you leads, rankings and money.
Clean semantic markup, fast crawls, proper schema, thoughtful URL architecture. Your site doesn't need an SEO plugin — it needs to be built right the first time. We work with our SEO team from day one.
No page-builder lock-in. No proprietary CMS you pay rent on forever. You leave with the full codebase, the deploy keys, and a handover any developer can pick up tomorrow.
Typography that reads, motion that rewards, details that make people stop scrolling. We design sites the way magazines are designed — every page spread-worthy.
AI-accelerated build pipelines let us move faster without cutting corners. What used to be a six-month project is now four to eight weeks from kickoff to launch — with more polish, not less.
Every build shown is a custom, hand-coded site — now live for the client. Click any project to visit the real thing.

This is a selection. We've designed and built dozens more.

Ontario's AODA requires organisations with 50 or more employees to meet WCAG 2.0 Level AA on public-facing websites. Under that headcount you are not currently covered — but we build to the standard either way, because it is the same work that makes a site usable on a phone, on the subway, in bad light.
Ranking here is not one city-wide list. The same search from Liberty Village and from Scarborough returns different businesses. We build the service and neighbourhood pages, and structure the Google Business Profile, so you surface in the parts of the city you actually serve.
Discovery at our studio on Lisgar St. beats a 45-minute call with a team five time zones away. Content gathering, shoot days and launch walkthroughs happen in person when that is the faster way to do them — and the designers and developers you meet are the ones building your site.
A Toronto buyer trusts a Toronto portfolio. We build with named local work — contractors across the 905, clinics downtown, brokers in midtown — because a prospect recognising a name does more for trust than another stock photo ever will.
Based at 45 Lisgar St. in Toronto. Most of our clients are in the GTA, and we build for businesses across Ontario and Canada — including Ottawa, Kingston, Calgary, Edmonton, Vancouver and Winnipeg — as well as US clients in New York, Miami, Los Angeles and Dallas. Industry-specific work: law firms, home renovation and remodeling companies, and Toronto start-ups. Browse the full web design portfolio.
Most custom builds ship in ~10 days end to end. Complex e-commerce, multi-locale, or integration-heavy projects run longer — we tell you honest timelines on day one.
Custom is our default — but the right tool depends on the job. We'll recommend the platform that actually fits your business, not the one that fattens an invoice.
When a content-heavy site needs the WordPress ecosystem — multi-author workflows, plugin flexibility, or a legacy migration — we build on WP without the usual bloat. Custom themes, no page builders, tuned for speed.
For serious e-commerce, Shopify stays the sharpest tool in the box. We build custom themes on Online Store 2.0, ship conversion-tested PDPs, and wire the stack to your email, ads, and analytics.
A fast site is table stakes. Clients who compound year over year pair the build with at least one of these.
Rank in search. Get recommended by AI.
Technical SEO, content clusters, local pack domination — plus AIEO, so ChatGPT and AI search name you. Paired with a custom build, it's the cheat code.
Turn traffic into revenue.
A/B tests, heatmaps, funnel teardowns. We don't guess — we measure, then ship the winners.
We keep it fast, updated, and alive.
Managed hosting on modern edge infrastructure, monitoring, backups, and a monthly hour bank for tweaks.
Know what's working. Fix what isn't.
GA4, server-side tagging, CRM handshakes, and dashboards your team will actually open on Monday morning.
The questions we actually get asked on every discovery call — with the answers we'd give a friend.
Ask us anythingMost custom builds run 4–8 weeks from kickoff to launch. Complex projects — large e-commerce catalogues, multi-locale sites, or integration-heavy builds — run longer, and we tell you honest timelines on day one. AI-assisted pipelines let us move faster than traditional agencies without cutting corners.
A custom site is hand-coded for your brand from the ground up — no page builders, no pre-built theme, no plugins stacked on top of plugins. That means faster load times, cleaner SEO, total design freedom, and no vendor lock-in. You own every line of code. We still do WordPress and Shopify when the job calls for it — but 'custom' is now our default.
Both, depending on your team's needs. For content-heavy sites we plug in a modern headless CMS (Sanity, Contentful, or similar) so your team can edit pages without touching code. For landing pages or tightly-scoped marketing sites, flat content is often the faster, cheaper path. We'll recommend the right fit in discovery.
You do. Full source code, full access, zero lock-in. You can walk the project to any developer on earth and they can pick up tomorrow. We're not in the business of holding your site hostage.
Yes. Content migrations, URL + 301 redirect maps, and SEO preservation are standard parts of our launch playbook. We've migrated sites off WordPress, Wix, Squarespace, Webflow, Shopify, and custom legacy stacks.
We recommend — and usually set up — modern edge hosting (Vercel, Netlify, Cloudflare). It's fast, reliable, and inexpensive. If you'd rather we manage it for you end-to-end, our Hosting & Care retainer covers hosting, backups, updates, and a monthly hour bank.
That's our default — we are those teams. Creative Scope is a full-service agency, so the site is built in lockstep with SEO, paid, and lifecycle from day one. If you have in-house or other agency partners, we integrate with them cleanly.
It depends on scope — a tightly-scoped marketing site is very different from a multi-locale e-commerce build. We scope every project custom and quote based on what the site actually needs to do. Book a discovery call and we'll walk you through rough ranges within the first 15 minutes.
Everything is in-house at our Toronto studio: web designers, front-end developers, SEO and copy. Nothing is subcontracted overseas, so the people you meet on the discovery call are the people building your site — and the same team is still here when you need changes a year later.
If your organisation has 50 or more employees in Ontario, yes — the AODA's Information and Communications Standards require public-facing websites to conform to WCAG 2.0 Level AA. Below 50 employees you are not currently captured by that requirement. We build every site to the standard regardless, because it overlaps almost entirely with the accessibility and mobile work Google already rewards.
Yes. The whole team works out of one studio on Lisgar St. Discovery sessions, content and photo days, and launch walkthroughs can all happen face to face. Plenty of clients never come in and that is completely fine — but the option exists, which it does not with an offshore team.
Local ranking comes down to proximity, prominence and relevance. We handle the on-site half: service pages, neighbourhood pages, LocalBusiness schema, consistent name-address-phone details, and a site fast enough to hold a mobile visitor. We also set up and structure your Google Business Profile, which is where most of the remaining leverage sits.
Per hour, usually. Per outcome, usually not. Offshore quotes rarely include strategy, QA, accessibility or SEO scaffolding, and the rework tends to land back on you. We quote the project rather than the hour, so the number you are given is the number you pay.
No. We are based in Toronto and most of our clients are in the GTA, but we build for businesses across Ontario and Canada — Ottawa, Hamilton, Calgary, Vancouver — and in the US. The local advantages simply matter more when you are selling locally.
